This clutch is way better that what I could have expected. I'm over the moon with this clutch!!!! The male was the last one I sexed. Don't get me wrong I'm excited to get females but I thought I wasn't going to have a male. Turns out the nices one in the clutch is the male!!!

Since the mom is a Lesser Red Axanthic all of these babies have to be Het RA's. However, the Lesser doesn't look like one to me (but she has to be one!). So, there is some wacky stuff going on in this clutch. You can even see it in the Pastel Lesser Het RA's that they are completely different.

The RA Snow father the Red Axanthic Het Albino (as you need 2 copies of the Het RA gene to make the Red Axanthic). However, the "Toffino/Albino Het RA" could have been fathered by either the RA Snow or Toffino. If fathered by the Toffino then this little guy could be a Toffino Het RA. Time will tell.............

This clutch was 100% father by the Toffino male (no other males were in with the female Albino). So, this should give us some results on how the Toffino is inherited.

Unlike all of the other clutches that the Toffino fathered this year, this clutch was solely fathered by the Toffino (all of the other clutches had Albino males in with the females as well). So, this clutch should hopefully tell us if the Toffino has 1 Toffee gene and 1 Albino gene or if the Toffee & Toffino are genetically the same...........

My male Pastel Lavender has proven to be a 100% Het Genetic Stripe! This is the Pastel Lavender male that one guy made the comment of "Your Pastel Lavender Male is so ugly it should be tossed in the freezer and not allowed to reproduce!!". Well, this goes to show not to listen to all of the Jealous Haters out there!!!

For the 2014 season I'll have the Pastel Lavender 100% Het Genetic Stripe breeding as well as the Black Stripe Genetic Stripe 100% Het Lavender Albino breeding. Should be interesting!!!
